Beyond the ticket
A licence proves you can drive the boat. It doesn’t teach you how to run an exceptional charter, lead a crew through a hard season, keep clean books, or build the network that gets you the best positions.
The Captain’s Circle is our signature programme — five intensive days (three of theory ashore, two of practice at sea) focused entirely on what actually makes a captain’s reputation: guest experience, management, and the business of the yacht. It’s not a certificate. It’s an ecosystem you step into and never leave.
What you’ll master
- Guest experience — reading owners and charter guests, the details that turn a good week into an unforgettable one, and how the best charters on the Riviera are run
- Leadership & management — building and leading a crew, hiring well, handling conflict and setting the standard onboard
- The business of the yacht — budgets, provisioning, suppliers and running clean onboard accounts with our partner Scyllastar
- Mechanical oversight — staying ahead of maintenance, knowing what to watch and how to brief engineers and yards
- The network — surrounding yourself with the right people, and how to keep learning once the season starts
The five days
Days 1–3 · Theory, ashore — guest experience, leadership, accounting and yacht business, worked through real cases and the tools you’ll actually use.
Days 4–5 · Practice, at sea — everything applied aboard a real working yacht: guest-service scenarios, crew coordination, docking and manoeuvres, and running the day as if the owner were aboard.
Who it’s for
Captains and senior crew ready to step up — or to sharpen the parts of the job no licence ever taught them. Some sea time and a leadership role (or the ambition to take one) will get the most from the week.
More than a course — an ecosystem
You don’t just leave with knowledge. You join a living network: a private WhatsApp channel where the best captains share tips and contacts, trusted internal job referrals, the Scyllastar tools to run your accounts, and a certificate-renewal tracker that keeps your career on the rails. The five days end; the Circle doesn’t.
